You are already enlightened. You don't need to do anything to get enlightened. You already possess all the happiness that you will ever want or need, but you do not recognise this to be so. You are like a sleepwalker, moving through the real world with wide eyes open, but a mind wide shut - not seeing what is there but only what is projected.
You may have heard many ideas about enlightenment but have they been stated accurately and have you heard them correctly? Erroneous thinking will lead to years of wasted effort, hard work, tough muscles, mental discipline but not your spiritual right to enlightenment. Thinking is the problem. Trust is the answer. Can you give up your search for just a moment? In that trusting space the Truth is revealed.
The spiritual teacher appears to take away everything that you have believed and do to attain enlightenment, or whatever you call it - God, Self-Realisation, eternal happiness, God Consciousness, Unity Consciousness - and make it possible for you to finally have it fully and permanently.
So, the enlightened teacher does not teach. He takes away everything that stands in the way of trusting life, such as, ignorance, fear, doubt and misunderstanding.
