This Spiritual Enlightenment Workshop, like all of my teaching groups, is a practical course of instruction.
However, if the path to enlightenment is like an extremely difficult mountain climb then advance preparation is essential. The right knowledge is an invaluable asset for arriving quicker, safely and securely. The wrong knowledge, myth, will prevent you from even leaving town or get you "killed" if you do.
The spiritual scene offers countless advisors who range from extremely naive through vaguely useful to some down-right dangerous. When you get to the other side, i.e. become enlightened, such misguided advice while sometimes amusing is mostly saddening. It's analogous to hearing the radio chatter around a hypothetical 9-11 scenario and realising that tragically few people will get out of the burning building alive because the rescuer's directives are sending people towards their deaths instead of away from it.
The human race is spiritually in a 9-11 situation. The soul of every person is trapped in the Twin Towers of the private and collective ego. Personal and mutual self-destruction is assured. It's a slow creeping death that has been casting an ever growing shadow over the face of the planet for thousands of years.
Enlightenment has been seen as an individual affair. But it's not. Enlightenment is not for the individual but for the sake of the whole human race. Jesus gave his life not for himself but so that the whole could become truly whole. The cause of Enlightenment has attracted a lot of self-serving, selfish seekers. Persons in the self-serving state cannot attain Enlightenment but they can group together to collectively promote erroneous ideas about a selfish enlightenment which, in reality, does not exist. Considering, the currently foul state of the human affairs, it is no surprise that so-called enlightenment teachings, whilst clever and logical, are fundamentally misleading and lacking certain basic features. These flawed ideologies have large scale followings because few actually know what Enlightenment is.
Put briefly and simply, Enlightenment is when a person becomes what they truly are - which is very different from what they currently experience themselves to be. An enlightenment teacher is one who returns people back to their original state so that they can make their own unique contribution.
This Spiritual Enlightenment Workshop on 16.12.2007 will look at the myths about Enlightenment: Giving Up, Getting In, Getting Out. The correct understanding will be presented and practical ways to recover your original nature, open your inner senses and make your unique life contribution on the planet.
Cost: £40. Pre-registration and attendance of an Introduction is required for absolute beginners. Orientation will be emailed.
