- Spiritual Satisfaction In The Material World

Satisfaction. Everyone wants it. Yet everyone already has it even though they say that they do not. Satisfaction exists within every person. This is not some far-off potential satisfaction which exists in the imaginary future but a satisfaction which is very much happening here and now.
There are different types of satisfaction: basically physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and -- JUST IS.
"Just Is" satisfaction is the satisfaction which everyone has. It is life's own joy simply with being in existence - whatever the occasion.
Spiritual satisfaction arises from achieving your inner purpose, your innermost goals. This is not to be confused with imagined or externally defined goals. That would be like a mighty oak tree accepting the shrunken vision of a bonsai gardener. Whatever the gardeners aesthetic preconceptions are they are in no way aligned with the oak acorn's internal destiny. Similarly, and crucially, every human being has a life direction, one's guiding light, which is invisible to the outer eye. It is this inner guidance which must be honoured for spiritual satisfaction to exist.
It's perhaps why Mick Jagger and Keith Richards wrote "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction". The answer of course was always there "blowing in the wind". The answer is both inside and outside is everywhere for those who have "eyes to see and ears to hear". Even Madonna, the material girl living in the material world, eventually realised Sting's assertion that "we are spirits living in the material world". But just how far down the rabbit hole does one have to go to really get the message?

Practical Details - Important!
But that are some practical details that you should test NOW, and well before class, to ensure that you are in the front row and comfortably tuned in. It's all rather simple. Even a Windows 98 user can tune in. And your PC probably has everything that you need if you have listened to music or watched film online.
1. You need a media player (see list below). Install them all (you have my blessing not to install WMP if you are Microsoftphobic)
2. Only if you don't have one already, you need to register a username account with daveoshana.com (free and simple)
3. Activate your account via the account activation email link (check your spam box or use the contact form if you don't receive one)
4. Test the media players, to see if you can hear whatever is playing now (probably the most recent AUDIOcast)
5. Be logged in 1 hour before class when we switch audio streams and see which player plays best.
6. Get a tall drink. Relax and listen. You're in!
Embedded Media Players
We recommend Firefox browser and have had good results with light non-commercial players like QuickTime Alternative and Real_Alternative.
You can also use Windows Media Player, QuickTime and Real Player for live classes. It seems that different people have different results with the various media players.
Installation note: you have to completely close all of your your internet browser windows before installing the player in your browser.
